OUR FOUNDER

Growing up, Yumi Lee had a deep love for fashion and helping others. She always knew that whatever she would end up doing in life would involve both of these passions, but struggled with figuring out what it would look like. The opportunities she had along the way never truly fulfilled her, and one day realized that perhaps it was because she was meant to create her own. Thus, INHRNT was born.

INHRNT is more than just a clothing brand to her, but is her heart for humanity, a reflection of God’s own heart, and a testimony of how our brokenness and struggles can be transformed into something beautiful.

OUR STORY

We believe that we all were created with the inherent desire for love that coexists with the inherent fear and universal pain we experience when it's not received. This pain can be alleviated if we knew and lived from this one truth: we all have inherent worth.

Our worth does not lie in our appearance, status, talents, accomplishments, possessions or whatever else society may tell us it’s dependent on - our worth is inherent; it has always been there and will always be.

OUR MISSION

We aspire to help individuals recognize the inherent worth in themselves and in each person they cross paths with, discovering the beautiful connectedness that lies within our humanity. As this is realized, we believe depression, anxiety, insecurity, negative thoughts and many more of the afflictions we face today will lessen as we become more confident, vulnerable, compassionate and deeply connected with ourselves and ultimately, with one another.

OUR BRANDMARK

The brandmark is inspired by the story of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and the beloved pearl gemstone. Many may be familiar with the story of Adam and Eve and how when they ate the forbidden fruit, sin and brokenness entered the world with consequences consisting of negative physical, spiritual, mental and emotional effects. A pearl is known to be of great value and worth, the entire concept of the brand, and is the perfect symbol to use in the brandmark; upon closer inspection, one can see that it is used in place of the fruit.

As a whole, the brandmark symbolizes redemption and how something that originally brought evil can be used and turned for good. We don’t have to let our painful experiences of the past and present define our worth or future. For the founder and many others, this is perfected by their faith in Jesus, the ultimate Redeemer.
